goal for this horse : trail ride at various campgrounds to promote the Lipizzan breed. I come in contact with a lot of people and this would be a simple thing for me to do including showing her off.

My Lipizzan mare, Arrizona, is by 272 Pluto III Fantasca & Aurora. Arrizona was born on 5/24/1997. She has had three offspring. Arrizona came to me with basic dressage training. That was all I knew about her. My goals will teach her to perform for me as my riding abilities have changed.

September 12, 2022: My goal was to introduce Arrizona to a bitless bridle.

Will you continue this goal? I will continue this goal with Arrizona. Over the past couple of years, she has developed hard melanomas on the sides of her mouth where the bit would sit in her mouth. Rather than keep her uncomfortable with a bit, I decided to do way with it completely.

Comment about today’s training: My experiment was a gamble. Because Arrizona has such a pleasant attitude, I thought I would give it a try. She knew exactly what I was attempting to do and happily agreed to accommodate me. Love my Lipizzan.

June 2022: Train Arrizona to my bumper pull trailer.

Methods: First I led Arri up to the trailer. I let her smell the inside. I then tied her to the outside the trailer. At two different times, I used a small round feeder dish and I entice her into the trailer. Both times she loaded. to. eat the grain. Then I backed her out.

Results/Reflections: My goal has been met.

Next Steps: The last step is to move to a different location. This will be another goal.
